A Message from The EM Director
The Simpson County Office of Emergency Management is here to represent the County Judge/Executive and City Mayor on all matters pertaining to the Emergency Management program and the disaster and emergency response of the City of Franklin and Simpson County, Kentucky. (KRS 39B.030) We work closely with our local emergency response agencies, public works departments, volunteer agencies and the private partnerships that are continuously being developed to Prepare for, Mitigate Against, Respond to and Recover from; all Emergencies and Disasters which affect the citizens who call this area home as well as those who are visiting or just traveling through our community. Hopefully you will find within these pages; the information you may be looking for, that will assist you to prepare yourselves and family for whatever emergency or disaster may impact you. With disaster preparation there is no absolute right answer for all hazards. The key to remember is that anything you do to increase your awareness and the preparations you take before an event occurs will make your survivability more likely. If you do nothing to become more aware or better prepared, you are much more likely to be injured or worse during the event and the recovery for your family and the community will be more difficult. Our Documents page has many documents that you can use for personal and family planning. If you do not find what you are looking for on this site, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our business is helping you with your preparedness and safety. We will work with you in whatever way we can to produce the most positive and appropriate outcome we can to your request. Again, Welcome to Franklin and Simpson County!!! We are glad you are here and want you to be comfortable and confident that your safety is our priority while you are with us.
